This Sunday, June 19th, Bodhi Surf + Yoga —in collaboration with Fundación Somos and Amigos of Costa Rica— is hosting 2022 Surf-A-Thon at Playa Chaman Uvita. This event has been created to support Innoceana’s marine conservation efforts.

This event will help raise funds to empower coastal communities and strengthen a network of Blue Warrior marine conservationists at Innoceana’s Marine Conservation and Education Center in Costa Rica.

What is a Surf-A-Thon?
A Surf-A-Thon is similar to a Jog-a-thon, which is a fundraising event where participants set a fundraising goal to jog or walk a certain number of laps around a predetermined distance in exchange for a donation per lap or a fixed donation amount. Instead of jogging or walking, participants will be surfing the waves of the ocean. All surfers will be catching as many waves as possible within 60 minutes on June 19th, 2022.

If you’d like to participate or donate for this cause, you can click here.

See you catching the waves!

Innotales – the power of storytelling
