The Blue Warrior Club is a monthly membership program designed for people from the local community that want to learn, indulge in adventure and strengthen their involvement in marine conservation.
Every month, members learn about several conservation topics during our monthly workshops and experiences. Members also learn about ocean literacy concepts and get ideas on how to become ocean stewards by participating in our research projects. As well, members practice important conservation diving skills.
The Ocean is in danger and we believe that empowering people to become Champions of the Ocean is the way for a better future. Join a passionate community that’s already taking action to fight for the future of the Ocean!
CONSERVATION WORKSHOPS
These sessions are designed to certify you on the marine fauna of the Costa Rican waters. You’ll learn about marine life, what’s endangering the Ocean, our research/conservation projects, and what you can do to help and get involved.
DIVING/SNORKELING EXPERIENCE
Experience the best the Osa Peninsula has to offer aboard the MCEC research boat in a social and educational way. Join us for a day of diving/snorkeling on Caño Island to enjoy and apply what was learned during the monthly workshops.
HOW CAN I JOIN THE BLUE WARRIOR CLUB?
- If you are an ocean lover but you can’t get in the water for some reason, you can join us for our monthly workshop with the BRONZE membership.
- If you are a DIVER or a SNORKELER, you can join us for 1 workshop and 1 dive/snorkel every month with the SILVER membership.
- If you want to help the local children from lower-income families, you can add the GOLD membership and sponsor a child to join the Jr Blue Warrior Club.

Snorkeling- + $100 one-time registration fee (includes special edition water bottle + 1 MCEC shirt)
- 1 Marine Conservation Workshop per month
- 1 entire day snorkeling at Caño island every month
- 10% discount on all MCEC Merchandising and Experiences
- Sponsor 1 local kid for the Junior Club

Scuba Diving- + $100 one-time registration fee (includes special edition water bottle + 1 MCEC shirt)
- 1 Marine Conservation Workshop per month
- 1 entire day scuba diving at Caño island every month
- 10% discount on all MCEC Merchandising and Experiences
- Sponsor 1 local kid for the Junior Club

add on top of the membership- By adding a monthly $50 fee to your membership, you’ll sponsor 1 local kid’s Junior club education. If you don’t know any child that could participate, no worries! We have quite a list of kids wishing to be Blue Warriors but don’t have enough resources to do it. You can support someone’s dream to become a young marine conservationist!
