Do you want to learn how to dive? Are you interested in marine conservation? Are you already a certified diver but would like to improve your skills? Come take our Costa Rica Diving Courses! Learning to dive with the MCEC means learning about marine conservation: which marine species are threatened? Why are our oceans slowly dying? How can I help protect them? These are all questions you will be able to answer after getting PADI Certified with us! With the MCEC, you will dive with a purpose and become a citizen scientist who will learn diverse subjects such as water quality analysis, coral importance, and marine invertebrates theory.
Discover Scuba Diving
$275/person + IVA
1 and a half Day course.
Minimum age: 10yo
Would you like to experience how it feels to breathe underwater? Then this diving course is for you! No experience in diving is needed for this course, the only requirement is that you are medically fit for diving. We will teach you all the techniques to dive safety with a PADI professional.
Open Water Diver
$500/person + IVA
3 to 4 days course.
Minimum age: 10yo
Are you ready to be a certified scuba diver and join the international network of underwater lovers? Get your Open Water Certification with us! This course lasts 3 days, spent first learning in our pool, then diving in beautiful Caño Island. After you are certified you will be able to dive all around the world to a depth of 18 meters.
Advanced Open Water
$425/person + IVA
2 days course.
Prerequisite: have your Open Water Certification
Minimum age: 12yo
Did you enjoy the Open Water Certification? Would you like to learn more? Become an Advanced Open Water Diver! This course will take your skills to the next level by improving your knowledge in just 2 or 3 days. After taking this course you will be able to dive to a depth of 30 meters.
You will have a total of 5 dives. From underwater navigation (how to use a compass, orientate yourself, evaluate distance, and use an orientation diagram), to deep adventure (dive to 30 meters deep and discover all the ocean’s secrets), and underwater photography, or conservation diving.
Rescue Diver
$500/person + IVA
3 day course.
Prerequisite: Must have an Advanced Open Water Certification
Minimum age: 12yo
Would you like to be able to identify and respond to minor issues and emergencies while diving? Then the Rescue Diver Certification is for you! During the 4 to 7-days course, you will learn how to act in the best way during an emergency and how to solve a problem before it becomes dangerous.
